Expressions, the first exhibition of Mirage Art Gallery, was held from 19th April to 20th May, 2012. This was a multitalented art show, comprising of paintings, sculptures and photographs by eminent artists from Kolkata.
The show featured eminent painters Partha Bhattacharjee, Partha Pratim Deb, Sushobhan Adhikary, Bikash Mukherjee, Aloke Sengupta, Nripen Nath Mohi Pal, Samir Paul, Ashoke Kr. Dey, Dipankar Mukherjee, Sudip Saha, Debasish Dhar and Raj rishi Mukherjee. Sculptures were provided by Tapas Sarkar, Asim Basu, Pradip Sur, Debjyoti Purokayastha, Subrata Paul, Somnath Chakraborty, Chandan Roy and Banasri Khan. The lone photographer was Bikram Sen.
The gallery witnessed its second exhibition, GANESHA - THE VIGNAHARTA, from 18th August to 19th September, 2012. Inaugurated by Smt. Alka Bangur, renowned industrialist and social worker, this art show demonstrated paintings and sculptures of Lord Ganesha in his various forms.
This exhibition brought together an eclectic collection of the forms of Lord Ganesha - (one of the most popular deities in the Hindu pantheon and considered to be the Lord of success and destroyer of obstacles) - in the modern, contemporary, abstract as well as experimental art forms. The varieties included different mediums viz. acrylic on canvas, tempera on board, pen & ink on paper, Natural dye and pigments, oil on canvas with gold and semi precious stones, etc. The sculptures including Murals and Bronze Wall Hangings were the major features of the show.
Eminent artists of national and international repute took part including Anjan Bhattacharya, Ashish Gupta, Ashok Kumar Dey, Avisankar Mitra, Nripen Nath, Rajib Sur Roy, Indrajeet Narayan, Chandan Roy, Raj Rishi Mukherjee, Nitasha Choudhury, Ritu Poddar, Vandana Lohia and many others.
The third exhibition of Mirage Art Gallery, RANGOLI - 2012, was held from 15th January to 20th January 2013, in association with Bharat Bachao Sangathan. The show was inaugurated by Mrs. Sikha Roy, Principal of Greenwood School. The Principals of the other participating schools – Purwanchal Vidya Mandir, La Martinere for Girls, Agrasain Balika Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya 2 and St. Joan's School – were the Guests of Honour.
The artworks, categorised as cartoons, collages and paintings were created by the children of the above mentioned schools, on the theme "Family Harmony and Relationships." The prize winning exhibits from each category were selected by renowned artists Wasim Kapoor and Debabrata Chakrabarti.
The fourth exhibition, of Mirage Art Gallery, FESTIVE SPRING, was held from from 7th March to 24th March, 2013. Ms. Alokananda Roy, renowned dance educationist and choreographer, inaugurated the show and the guest of Honour was Mrs. Saira Shah Halim, corporate trainer, image consultant, fashion stylist & freelance writer.
This was a group exhibition of contemporary Indian paintings, curated by Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya and featured prominent works of renowned artists Akbar Padamsee, Ganesh Pyne, Jogen Chowdhury, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Paritosh Sen, S H Raza, Dhiraj Chowdhury, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Amit Bhar – along with those of a few highly talented budding artists.
Mirage Art Gallery celebrated its fifth exhibition MEMORIES IN MAY - A TRIBUTE TO RITUPORNO GHOSH, from 13th June 2013 till 20th June 2013. The show was curated by Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya and featured paintings, sculptures, photographs & memorabilia of RITUPARNO GHOSH (1963-2013).
The other attraction of the show was a Musical Tribute by group CHORUI DOL and a Live Painting Session by artist Arpan Das.
The paintings & sculptures were provided by artists Jogen Chowdhury, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Wasim Kapoor, Sanatan Dinda, Amir Bhar, Dwijen Gupta, Arun Samaddar, Arpan Das, Partho Talukdar, Ritu Bhattacharjee, Abdul Salam, Ashoke Kumar Varma and Akhil Chandra Das. The photographs were provided by Amal Kundu, Pratap Das Gupta and Biswajit Saha. The memorabilia were courtesy of Sangbad Protidin Robbar Archive and Shree Venkatesh Films Archive.
The sixth exhibition of Mirage Art Gallery – HARMONY, was organized in association with DBS Bank Ltd. at 4A Little Russel Street, Kolkata, from 20th to 28th September, 2013./p>
Eminent artists Akbar Padamsee, Aloke Sengupta, Amit Bhar, Anirban Seth, Arpan Das, Arshad Saeed, Ashok Kumar Varma, Bapan Dhara, Biswajit Roy, Jogen Chowdhury, Nripen Nath, Partha Pratim Deb, Ram Kumar, Samir Paul, Sanatan Dinda, Sandip Sekhar Sinha, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Swati Pasari, Vani Chawla and Wasim Kapoor took part in this exhibition.
Art Utsav 2013 - an exhibition of paintings, collage, sculptures, hand-made gift items and much more – was held from 8th November to 15th December 2013, at the gallery premises. This was the seventh show of Mirage Art Gallery, and was inaugurated by Zinnia Mukherjee - Tollywood Actress and Singer. The guest of honor was Sri Pranab Ranjan Ray, Art Critic & Historian.
The entire artwork featured in this annual show were priced below 20,000 INR. More than 70 artists including Aditya Basak, Gopinath Roy, Jogen Chowdhury, Manoj Dutta, Prokash Karmakar, Partha Bhattacharjee, Partha Pratim Deb, Rabin Mondal, Samir Aich Subrata Chowdhury, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Wasim Kapoor displayed their artwork.
